Consumer Mashup

This time the Mashup assignment was to think of a place where I spend
a lot of money,and also what I spend them on. Then to make a logo out of it.

I first thought about the supermarket that I go to very often to get food, then thought again about it and did not want to customize a logo of a supermarket. I thought I rather make something that relates more to myself and not just a supermarket because I need food :0)

My hobbies are cooking, sewing, making jewelries...and of course as a girl shopping is my forever hobby! I go to this store called the "Forever 21" an American brand which came to Japan very recently. I go to the store once a month and shop for clothes, accessories and lingeries. This store is known to be very cheap and it actually really is, which I can by about almost 10 items for $100 (10,000 yen).

    Good job Mai. Fortunately my daughters have not yet discovered this store. Though I imagine it wont be much longer before they do.

    Just a couple of comments on format. It looks like there are line breaks in your first few paragraphs in the middle of the sentence. Was this intentional?

    Also, as I'm not familiar with this particular assignment (as other visitors to your blog might be as well), it would be useful if you could provide a link back to the original assignment on the ds106 blog.

    and i recommend you to take your daughters to the store
    ASAP! they have kids/menswear as well, it will be a fun
    shopping place for the weekend :)

    Thank you for sharing this assignment:) As you said, forever 21 is better choice than supermarket;)I also do like forever 21!! I wish the store is located in my city...

    Good blog post :) The vivid color of logo really attracts the attention.
    I always liked the way you dress up and was wondering where you buy your clothes! I haven't gone to the store recently so now I'm thinking to go there this weekend...! :)

    I find your post interesting because before I got to Japan I was always under the assumption that Forever 21 was a female only store. It took one of my Japanese friends to show me the men's section of the store. It was there that I realized that they actually do had a decent men's collection that's not feminine looking lol
